Engineered for Semiconductor, Aerospace, and High-Frequency Applications
As a premier China Silicon Nitride Substrates manufacturer, we recognize that the global shift toward Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) power modules necessitates a substrate material that can withstand extreme thermal cycling while providing superior mechanical strength. Silicon Nitride (Si₃N₄) has emerged as the definitive solution, surpassing Alumina (Al₂O₃) and Aluminum Nitride (AlN) in fracture toughness and reliability.
Information Gain: Unlike traditional Alumina substrates, Si₃N₄ offers a thermal conductivity of up to 90 W/m·K combined with a fracture toughness (>6.5 MPa·m½) that allows for thinner ceramic layers and thicker copper cladding, drastically reducing the Rth (Thermal Resistance) of the entire module.
Our factory utilizes advanced Active Metal Brazing (AMB) technology to bond high-purity oxygen-free copper to Silicon Nitride ceramics. This creates a platform capable of handling the 800V+ architectures found in modern Electric Vehicles (EVs) and high-speed rail systems. By sourcing from a specialized Silicon Nitride Substrates factory in China, global OEMs benefit from a localized supply chain that balances high-tier technical output with unparalleled cost efficiency.
Innovation Paths for Next-Gen Ceramic Substrates
Researching the transition from 90 W/m·K to 120+ W/m·K through lattice-purity control and grain boundary optimization, targeting ultra-high power density in SiC inverters.
Development of ultra-thin substrates (0.25mm - 0.32mm) to further minimize the thermal path, essential for the miniaturization of aerospace power converters.
Proprietary brazing alloys that prevent delamination under extreme -55°C to 175°C thermal cycling, ensuring a 20-year service life in renewable energy grids.

While AlN has higher thermal conductivity, Silicon Nitride has significantly higher fracture toughness. In the harsh vibration and thermal cycling environment of an EV, AlN is prone to cracking, whereas Si₃N₄ maintains structural integrity.
DBC (Direct Bonded Copper) is ideal for Alumina, but for Silicon Nitride, AMB (Active Metal Brazing) is superior as it uses an active metal (like Titanium) to create a chemical bond that is much more resistant to thermal fatigue.
Yes. Our factory supports custom laser cutting and CNC grinding to meet specific circuit designs, including complex hole patterns and edge profiling.
All our materials are REACH and RoHS compliant. We provide full traceability records from raw material batch to the final sintered unit, meeting ISO 9001 standards.
